Waverly Mansion Mini-documentary
This is my most recent video and the one I have worked the longest and hardest on. I have known that I wanted to create a mini-documentary on the haunted Waverly Mansion since before I became the Social Media/Multimedia Editor. During the summer I researched the topic further for a podcasting class I took. I finally felt comfortable enough in my new video editing skills to start make the video a couple of months ago. It took me weeks to film and edit, but the finished product is something I am very proud of.
The Other Side of the Desk: Teacher Alumni Series
These are the first videos I ever made. Before this I had no experience using iMovie, but I was determined to create a new multimedia aspect to The Vision. Each one is an interview with a member of The Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science who used to attend the school. I both recorded and edited every video, and later I learned how to edit graphics for the thumbnail. These will always be in my heart as they were a stepping stone to greater projects.

Tupelo, MS Trump Rally
In November, four members of The Vision editorial board and I got to attend the Trump rally in Tupelo, MS with press passes. This was an amazing experience from a journalistic standpoint as we were able to film and report alongside big news outlets. I edited this video from clips that our Editor in Chief took as I live-streamed the event. The video ended up being one of my favorites because of the quality of the finished piece.
Hype Videos
Since MSMS does not have many traditional sports teams, I have been tasked with creating hype videos around unorthodox video subjects. These have turned out to be another of my favorite projects as I have the pleasure of recording and editing videos with the purpose of making people excited. The step team video, in particular, got many kids to look forward to the event and the team enjoyed being covered like a traditional sports team.

Event Videos
Besides hyping the student body up for sports, I have also made videos after the event to document it in an interesting way. Spirit week was MSMS's version of homecoming that is formed around Halloween. The Phone-a-Thon was a week where the seniors working as school representatives called prospective students, which is interesting as it is something not many other schools do. For these videos I filmed, took pictures, and edited.
